{The wedding of Elizabeth & Felicia // Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California // Circolo 2 letterpress wedding invitation design in champagne and pewter}
Our client coordinator Andrea had the great pleasure of working with Elizabeth (Eaz) to help choose the perfect wedding invitation for her ultra luxurious event. At first, Eaz was a bit skeptical about working with us exclusively by email and phone, but we are so happy that they did! Upon receiving their letterpress samples, Eaz and Felicia opted for the fun Circolo 2 design printed in champagne and pewter. The invitations coordinated perfectly with the charger plates they used and helped influence incredibly beautiful and personal details throughout their wedding. The couple infused their day with meaningful details that make it one of our favorite Bella Figura weddings to date.

On my trip to California, we walked for miles to this secluded hideaway, this magical place, where all the light seems to melt into the leaves and mud and hairs like butter on a hot biscuit.
I wanted to post some of these. This is my secret place, in the back woods of a tiny town where I hail. And this is my best friend. We are in synch. She knows what I'm thinking, her expressions are my expressions, her inhibitions are my inhibitions. I take pictures of her but it's like we are one person, and it's a portrait of both of us. That's my inspiration. And this is part one.
WARNING! there is one nude image below, but I consider it pretty PG-13, but I just thought I'd give you a heads up.

When I was 18, I took my first by-myself vacation to Portland, Oregon, and I fell deeply in love with a city that fit me like a glove. It was that moment when you try on a new pair of jeans, right before you zip them up where you realize that it's snug in all the right places, and you know that this… is the one.
I felt that way about a man, and I felt that way about Portland, Oregon. And so when it was presented that we might take a road trip - I suggested we start off in the best city I know. Portland. And drive south along the coast, the long way. And wow. Wow.
Just wow.
Oregon is the most beautiful place in the world. No. California is… I can't decide? What could sway my decision? Smooth and rocky beaches along the shore? Epic crags and gorges? Black sand beaches? Giant trees (older than Jesus!?). Emerald blue rivers, or moss growing on everything.
I. Love. The Pacific Northwest. And I very much enjoy the crazy ladies I've the fortune to be traveling with:

It all begain at (the lovely) Literati Cafe… Stef had emailed me a month out from her wedding and was looking for some last-minute inspiration and guidance. When I found out that both the bride and groom were Cal grads, we had instant clickage! Most importantly, I was quickly enamored with Stef's vision for the day and was delighted at the thought of being able to contribute to the design of the wedding this late in the game. Together, we adopted a design direction for the day. The feel would be classic and elegant, suggesting a Victorian garden. Florals would be natural and loosely gathered, rich with texture. And the colors would range from cream to lavender to deep purples, accented by cool silver. We enlisted my favorite floral visionary, Kristin of The Treasured Petal, to help bring our charming vision to life. The results were magical!
Although my time was brief with these two, SO much was achieved together. Stef and I also became quick friends and I look forward to keeping in touch with this darling pair!
I'm excited to walk you through the day with beautiful photos courtesy of Christine Marie Photography. Christine perfectly captured the elegance and romance of the day in each and every frame…

How perfect is this vintage-feeling portrait of the bride??
