Chelsea Petaja, NashvilleVendor: Hair AccessoriesWebsite: Oh My Deer!About Me: "Oh, My Deer!" was born out of a love for play-on-words and getting my hands dirty. I live in Music City USA in a little loft with brick walls, concrete floors and my husband. I teach Visual Arts at a Montessori school that grows organic vegetables and composts nearly everything. It satisfies the hippie in me. I make flowers and feathers for your hair that I hope make you feel beautiful. Sometimes I make drawings and invitations for your eyes. And then that leaves everything in between that I pretend to know how to do.
Today is the first day of the year where it actually feels like Autumn. It's perfect in Music City USA today–71 and sunny. Soon we'll get to wear scarves, jackets in the morning and at night, sip cider on the front porch, and all the other things that I'm romanticizing about Fall.
This piece was one of my favorites that I was asked to make for a Seattle, October wedding. The colors and textures seem to sum up the feelings of Fall; if it were a slice of pumpkin pie, I'd eat it up.
Happy Fall, y'all.

Isn't Yia the most naturally beautiful bride? I love the simple elegance of her details, her dress and the decor. Yia and Sal were married along the California coastline in May and had the help of some incredible vendors: wedding coordination and design by Amorology Weddings, paper goods from Flush Designs, and photography by Paloma Images.
For a slideshow of their wedding, see more of Paloma's images from the day here.
Princess Lasertron, OmahaVendor: Flowers made of felt, vintage buttons and other ephemeraWebsite: Princess LasertronAbout Me: I started Princess Lasertron in 2005 creating custom bouquets out of
felt, vintage buttons, and other ephemera. I give each bride an
heirloom-quality piece that will bring a personal dimension to their
wedding and everyday lives. What I love most is meeting and
collaborating with unique women whose weddings are a true
representation of them and their partners. As for me...I live
nocturnally, I'm an INTP, I play Dungeons and Dragons every other
Saturday, and I'm a perpetual student.
I stumbled upon an Etsy shop called Tied and Feathered when I was looking for some bridal hairpieces for one of my clients. Owned by two sisters from the UK, Tied and Feathered offers beautiful handmade fascinators, headbands and hats, and I absolutely love what they do! Here are a few of my favorite designs…

Scout Dry Goods, a local boutique that specializes in vintage and re-sale clothing and accessories, is now selling headbands and hair accessories by Princess Lasertron. Scout has also been a great friend to the local art and music community, hosting fashion shows and lending its walls to local artists and designers. The goal of Scout is to be a socially and environmentally responsible clothing store that stimulates resourcefulness and innovative thinking.
I brought eight headbands to Scout earlier this week, and here are a few of my favorites.
Emilie Sommer, Portland, MaineVendor: PhotographerWebsite: Emilie Inc.About Me: Emilie earned a degree in photojournalism from Syracuse University and worked at USA Today and The Washington Post in Washington, DC, before opening her wedding photography studio, emilie inc, in Portland, Maine. She loves all the intricate details involved in planning, the warm fuzzy feeling about two people in love and freezing those moments in time in a photograph. It’s a contagious dancing-through-daisies kind of good feeling. She also started the Roots Workshop, the directory News Wedding Photographers and the non-profit Pink Initiative
Traci Romano, you'll recall, is my guardian angel who saved me from my wedding dress emergency by graciously offering me anything in her store in Connecticut last weekend. This weekend, I drove back down to pick up my dress, check out the minor alterations it needed (looks fantastic!), and meet veiling specialist Sara Gabriel who was in town for a trunk show at Traci's boutique (bonus!).
Although Traci's primary business is event planning, her retail space is a bridal haven of designer dresses, chic accessories, high-end invitations and creative gifts, all perfectly placed in an historic yet modern waterfront building. It's the sort of atmosphere that caters to the individual with champagne taste, not the masses (speaking of, we had mimosas!).
Llubav Choy Duerr, BrooklynVendor: Accessories DesignerWebsite: Llubav Co.About Me: Combining my personal aesthetic of art as a visual feast, a background in textile design, and a love for fashion, I created Llubav Co. with the aim of brightening up your day. I use Hungarian wool felt, American wool, linen, filigree, and vintage embellishments to produce ring pillows, stationery and fashion accessories that are as unique, vibrant and colorful as my Latin American upbringing. I live and create in Brooklyn, and I have two beautiful guys in my life -- my husband Chris and our baby son Mikus.
I created this gardenia last fall out of my love for the South. It reminds me of my trips to Athens, Georgia in the spring, and the sweet fragrances that surround the house and garden of my friends Lucy and Buddy.
The flower has gold metallic bead embellishment for a little sparkle -perfect for a bride, a flower girl or just to wear around town. It is sure to sass up any kind of hairstyle. Read more…

My newly engaged friend Sarah turned me onto these hair accessories by Jennifer Behr. I've seen her pieces before in magazines like In Style and Teen Vogue (you probably have too!). These designs are my favorite:

I’m really loving these fabric flowers lately, and one bride wanted one to adorn a tulle band. She’d seen the Wendy piece of Sarah Gabriel’s and asked for something similar… and viola! Though I can take no credit for the creative beauty of the piece, I still really, really like her.

This lovely lady is a reserved piece for a bride with a love for vintage and lace. And I mean, heck, I felt prettier by just putting Fiona on to take a picture!
