Amanda and Abner’s wedding is one of those storybook weddings in my mind –the couple is in love, the colors are rich, the weather is perfect, and the details are just right. My husband, Tec, was able to travel down to the Manasota Keys in Florida to shoot the wedding and spend time with this lovely couple. Visit Tec’s blog for more images from the celebration.

Rebecca Turnquist, who took all of these great photos, was gracious enough to send me a few of her favorite pictures from Alisa and Jack’s May 28th wedding. (Here is the post I made about Alisa’s flowers after I finished them!)

Wow. How stunning is this wedding? Emily and Neil blended classic elements like her necklaces and gown with splashes of bold color and May poles! I’m in love with this wedding.
After Emily and I realized that we were both Atlanta transplants living in Nashville, the distance between us got even smaller when we found out I could see her workplace from our front porch! If you weren’t aware, I’m crazy about small world stuff like that. ![]()

Lately, I’ve had several orders of multiple pieces, typically for bridesmaids. These are a really sweet set for some lucky gals celebrating a Louisiana garden wedding in a couple of weeks. The outdoor ceremony will overlook the bayou and the reception is being held at the bride’s parent’s home. She’s described the wedding as “simple, organic and chic.” Don’t you just love the sound of a comfortable and classy wedding?
The bridesmaids will be wearing beautiful slate-gray shift dresses from BCBG that will work perfectly with the peachy-pinks of these lovelies. And come on -I can never get enough of those guinea feathers. Don’t they just finish these pieces off perfectly?

The other week when we were in New York we had the privilege of spending several hours playing at the brilliantly talented Jennifer Behr’s Fort Green studio. Jen is working on a headpiece for Eunice’s upcoming wedding, and we probably spent about 3 hours trying on all manner of be-jeweled, be-feathered, be-ribboned hair accessories. It was so much fun! Here’s Jen trying a piece on Eunice…
This little lady is a custom piece for a spring, garden wedding. I think she’ll fit the mood perfectly, don’t you?

I’m in love with these fabric flowers. They’re just so beautiful and dainty, and dare I say, ethereal? Is that taking it too far? Anyway, here’s the finished product of my first attempt at these, and needless to say, I’m sort of hooked. And oooooh, can’t you just envision them with some guinea feathers to make them just a bit more sassy?
