There is something timeless and classic about a white color palette with just the subtlest hints of color. The perfect color palette for a winter white wedding. I turned to some of my favorite photographers to put together this wedding white inspiration board.
From the top {1,2,3 are the beautiful images of Lisa Lefkowitz; 4,5,6 even the food can be a part of the white color palette as seen in these amazing images by Bonnie Tsang; 7 I absolutely adore this photo of the bride with that amazing hand mirror, shot by the infamous Elizabeth Messina; 8,9 this beautiful table setting and mix and match flower arrangement shot by Jose Villa; 10 floating bride and groom shot by Max Wanger; 11 and this fabulous arrangement of lace inspired evian bottles shot my one my favorites Punam Bean}

This is my first week back in the studio from a whirlwind 8 days out west. As most of you know the hubby and I are big travelers. One of our most beloved places on earth (besides home) is Utah, namely Zion National Park. When I heard of the location for Engage 09!: The Encore, we knew a trip to Zion was imminent. What better timing as we are amidst the plans for our renewal ceremony there next May!
Today is just a little teaser of the blogging to come over the next few weeks chronicling my travels and inspirations from Vegas to Utah and back! Be sure to keep an eye out for several Inspired Ink posts derived from the fabulous design of the Wynn and Encore Casinos - wow, my head is still spinning!

When I saw this post that Jane Cameron, creative director of the amazing Wedding Style Guide, did on her creative process I was instantly inspired. I adore the fact that she puts each and every issue into a spiral notebook! Brilliant! She has every issue like this. How great is that?
I love this idea when planning a wedding! Much better than those generic 3 ring binders no!? LOVE LOVE LOVE! If you haven’t checked out Wedding Style Guide it’s really a must. They offer digital as well as print versions of their magazine! And there are a ton of free downloads as well!
Kimberly Canale, Brooklyn, NYVendor: Event DesignerWebsite: Inspired GoodnessAbout Me: From the moment the engagement ring was slipped onto my finger, I've been in love with all-things-wedding. I still get teary eyed reading proposal stories in magazines and love sneaking a peek at a bride and groom glancing at one another for the first time, as the ceremony is about to begin. With each of my clients, I get to know their personality, family background and hear the story of how they met and fell in love. Each piece becomes another element from which I use to build the overall vision for their wedding day.
As the Creative Director at Inspired Goodness, my job is to create the various details that makes each of our weddings come to life. My work incorporates classic elements; engraving, hand calligraphy and vintage typography. Using a mix of found objects and flea market pieces lends a rich history to my work and challenges me to find creative ways to use mass-produced elements, each with a chic and timeless result.
With every new client, I get to explore avenues I've yet to pass and love knowing that the next adventure is just around the corner!
Did any of you catch the first episode of Man Shops Globe last night on the Sundance Channel?
The show follows Keith Johnson, a buyer for Anthropologie, around the world as he travels to out-of-the-way antique shops, private dealers and craft stalls for one-of-a-kind home furnishings and accessories. In each half-hour show, Keith travels to a new country in search of unusual decorative accessories, artifacts furniture and textiles. It follows as he finds some of the world’s unique treasures and spotlights artists whom he commissions to create products for their stores. AH-MA-ZING!

This kind of sums up my feeling today. I adore soft shades of purple mixed with deep aubergine tones. This inspiration board evokes the perfect ethereal quality I adore… a beautiful cherry blossom lined path, ballet inspired couture pumps, parisian macaroons, and natural fruit infused drinks.

I never tire of the “enchanted forests filled with fairies” look for a wedding or event. I absolutely adore this vibe! So earthy, yet magical, whimsical, and chic all at the same time!

Last week, I posted an interesting question on Twitter. Certainly not a question that has never been asked before, but an interesting one just the same. The question was simple - “what makes you feel most alive in your work?” I immediately thought of the question I am asked so often - “what inspires you”? I think this is an important question we should all ask ourselves, regardless of our professions, don’t you think?
I put together a few images from the past few weeks that made me stop and say wow. Obviously pattern is an affinity of mine, saturated color, yes, but also the concept of contrast. The bull posing in front of the fussy wallpaper is a good example of my obsession with contrasts.
