Two people have asked me about my work hours recently, so I thought it would make a pretty good blog post. Someone on a message board I read posed the same question, so I figured now was a good time to just put it out there! My typical work day is kind of unusual, but I love it so much. Sometimes I'm not really sure where my work stops and my life begins…
11am-12pm: Husband comes to wake me up. This process usually takes about 45 minutes and involves him coming back several times, turning on the tv, pulling the covers off, opening windows, throwing the cat on my face… yes, I am 12. (Sidenote: by this time of the day, he has already been to the gym on his bike, worked for 4 hours, cleaned the house, and made me breakfast.)
Noon: I get out of bed and look at my face in the mirror. I think to myself, “Looks like I didn't quite get all the makeup off” as I rub at the dark circles under my eyes. I realize that they were not caused by makeup.
At noon I start to work. I begin by answering e-mails, ordering things I am out of, checking some blogs, paying bills, and filing receipts and invoices from the day before. I look through my list of invoices to see what my priorities are for the day–what's due next, what needs to be packed and shipped, etc. Then I just start working down the list!

Weddingbee is a fabulous website that was an important resource for me when I was planning my wedding last year. I was so surprised and excited to see an e-mail from Bee in my inbox last week and I’m honored to join Weddingbee Pro as an industry blogger. I know I’m in great company and I’m going to have a lot of fun with this opportunity!
Let’s see. I could start out talking about myself, since that is easy for me. My real name is Megan, in case that matters to you. I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I’m 22. I have a cat. I graduated with degrees in German and Intercultural Communication and now I am in grad school for Political Communication. I play Dungeons and Dragons every other Saturday. Besides creating and working with the most fabulous brides in the world, I also enjoy accounting, sprinting to the post office before it closes, and trying to pull health insurance and a retirement plan out of my butt.
However, I’m not completely alone in this venture. Besides my readers and customers, I have a valuable staff made up of my husband David and our cat, Turbo. I rely on them to run errands and package orders, play with toys in front of of me for my amusement, keep the hair they shed off my stuff, and keep my lap warm (I’ll let you figure those out).
