Hello!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  We finally {finally!} made it to the beach and cruised around our neighborhood on our bikes.  Next weekend we are planning a little camping trip.

July’s Press & Post was inspired by little trips into the woods.  The queen anne’s lace imagery is from one I pressed a couple years ago.  I had picked a few while on a walk, slipped them into one of our gardening books, and forgot about them.  Two years later I happened to open the book on the very page of the where I left the flowers.  The stamps for July are some of my favorite and I plan to use some for our wedding invitations.

I love mail. I love checking my mail box every day. I love hand labeling envelopes. I love going to the post office…it's just one of my quirks!

I must admit, when I read about the postal hikes, I was a little sad that I couldn't use the fun little 2008 Love stamps anymore! I just adore this little guy, carrying that huge heart. So cute!

I recently addressed some oversized envelopes in Elegance Script for a bride {incidentally, Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs} with a very classic taste - as in old classics! After we sent the envelopes back for mailing, they spiced things up with these clever vintage stamps. The stamps {and thus envelopes as well} were different for every recipient!

My husband inherited a stamp collection a while back, which he added to his existing collection. I could not believe how much inspiration was in there! I think I was more excited about it than he was. They are like tiny pieces of artwork!
