Jen came to see me and my hair diva, Jennie B for a trial and the three of us had so much fun it hardly seemed like work. Jen is a cutie patootie and I think she looks like the love child of Isla Fisher and Lindsay Lohan. We rocked out her look with a stained red lip, false eyelashes, and a catted out black eyeliner. I will have a follow up post this week with her photos and a break down of all of the products that I used to “get the look”. Jennie B did an amazing job on the hair for Jen and her sister and videographer, Michael DiChiaro put together this cool highlights reel. Also, check out this hilarious save-the-date. I looove Jen and Brian's sense of humor!

Here is a Lana save the date we recently did in raspberry + hot chocolate inks. Printed on 100% recycled paper!!

While finalizing dates and permits with Zion National Park, the hubby and I are beginning work on our Renewal Save the Date. A booklet style seemed immediately necessary, since we are of course trying to entice family and friends to travel to Utah the weekend after Mother's Day next year; therefore a good amount of information needs to be included.

One of our recent clients loved the idea of a Save-the-Date map, but wanted to do something different and more “emotional.” We came up with the idea of a “life map” and the result was fantastic! You can see both the bride and groom's journeys growing up until they met in June of 2006. The map continues to their engagement and, ultimately, their 2009 wedding. It really is a great idea to showcase their most important accomplishments both as individuals as well as a couple. We were even able to incorporate interests and things they enjoy - such as oatmeal for the both of them! In addition to the adorable map, we are also creating custom Zazzle stamps with the icon of the campfire where they met!

Okay, I admit it. I have never read Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree, but I do love the look of these save-the-dates. And guess what? They're free for the taking.
I found this free wedding template over at Merriment Design - a lovely blog that's all about sharing awesome craft and design ideas.

As promised, here are some paper products!!! I just finished designing this save the date for my dearest friend. Their wedding is going to be in December in the beautiful setting of Whistler, British Columbia. She is a very elegant girl but wants a soft whimsical feel to her wedding. What better way to say soft and whimsical?! With some stitching of course.
And how could I resist a little berry love for a winter December wedding!?
This is double sided with their monogram on the front and the save the date on the back. Her colors are grey and eggplant, with of course some beautiful lavender brought in later. Grey is the hottest color right now, so I just can't wait to see it all come together! I am excited to start designing the invite! Being that the Olympics are one month after her wedding, I sure hope there is not a bunch of construction going on!! Erin Hearts Court will be capturing her most beautiful day, which we are so excited to do!
These beauties were printed by no other then the wonderful company Spark! Ladies, if you are a DIY bride and designed your invites yourself but want to have them letterpress printed, Spark is the best. They are affordable and truly a pleasure to work with. Oops! Did I just promote DIY invites? What am I doing to my business?!
No worries –I still print on my own but some projects I like to send out.

The save the date for my great friends Jill and Adam! Designed by me! (of course
) They are two very funny people and this save the date really shows it. It is three color letterpress with the wine stain (which I love and will be carried through out the whole invitation suite currently under construction) is digitally printed by me but the letterpress is printed ever so beautifully by Spark Letterpress.

I designed my great friend Nicky's save the date. As her mind changed where she wanted to get married, so did the design of the save the date. However, when she set a place and a time, and I was able to come up with a design that fit her style. She is a seamstress and made her own gown out of organic cotton and other raw fabrics, so we decided to play on the idea of fabrics for the save the dates and invites.
The save the date is very simple letterpress tri folded. Then it was wrapped in torn strips of muslin, copper wire tied and curled to represent the twirly vines in a vineyard, and a monogram wax seal to hold it all in place. It really looks beautiful. As I helped her plan her wedding, we brought the torn muslin in everywhere we could in the decorations. It really had a natural and very organic feel.
The letterpress is a rich shimmery chocolate brown and a fun copper. It is a bit hard to open but worth it!!
