We just love all the vintage stationery supplies at London-based retailer Present & Correct. Among their impeccably curated collection are authentic vintage items like these old fashioned money bags — perfect for gift certificates.
{Envelopes in Bickham Script with dropped zip codes}
Properly addressing your envelopes is such an enormous task, and brides often have no idea where to start and thus can become overwhelmed. I thought it might be helpful to include some tips on some of the most common envelope addressing situations.
There are many ways to address your envelopes appropriately based on the marital status, family status or living arrangements of your guests. Please keep in mind that these “etiquette” tips vary by the source, and only you can decide how you want to address your envelopes. For a comprehensive guide you may want to take a look at Crane’s Blue Book of Stationery, Crane’s Wedding Blue Book, or the latest editions of Emily Post’s Etiquette and Emily Post’s Wedding Etiquette.
Here are several examples to get you started:

I have so many people ask me about this that I just had to write a post about it. “Dear Laura, what is the difference between centering and staggering? All your envelopes look like they are centered. Can I see an example of staggered layouts, please?”
Sure, you can! Here it is. The top envelope is centered (with an optional dropped zip code), while the bottom envelope is staggered. As you can see, each line is slightly more indented than the line above it. It has a cute effect, especially when the zip code is dropped down. So, why does centering cost more then? It’s simple, because it takes longer to write your envelopes if I have to think about where to start writing each line so they will come out centered. So, either way, your envelopes will look great! Both styles above are Bickham Swash Caps.
Last spring I was approached by wedding coordinator Rebecca Stone of Duet-Weddings to design the complete stationery package for her clients, Kristen and Sean. I was pleased to speak with Kristen over the phone, and as we discussed her ideas for the invitation I started to put the pieces together in my head about what I would present her. {All photos & inspiration board above courtesy of Next Exit Photography}

We recently did fabulous invitations and day-of paper for our friend and fellow card maker, Danielle Spinetta of Tallulah. She and her husband, Greg Piché, were married at Foreign Cinema in San Francisco, and had a fun vintage movie theme - Foreign Cinema has a giant wall for projecting movies (so cool!) - they showed Grease and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid during the reception. Love it!
